vegetarian

Ingredients

2
Ramen noodles200 g
Water800 ml
Salt1 tsp
Oil1 tbsp

Steps

1

Pour 800 ml water into the GastroLab bowl. Install the lid and select Boil Water mode.

GastroLab:Install bowl. Add water. Install lid. On touchscreen: select 'Boil Water' → press knob to start.
8 min💡 The water will heat to approximately 100°C and begin boiling.
2

Once water boils, carefully add the dried ramen noodles and salt. If using oil, add it now for richer flavor.

GastroLab:When boiling is complete and knob releases, carefully open lid (steam will be hot). Add noodles and salt. Close lid. On touchscreen: select 'Manual' → set 100°C, Speed 1 (gentle stir with stirring attachment), Time 4 min → press knob to start.
4 min💡 Stir gently to separate noodles and ensure even cooking. Do not use high speed as this will break the noodles.
3

Cook until noodles are tender and reach your preferred texture.

GastroLab:When 4 minutes completes, press knob once to pause. Taste a noodle. If firmer texture is desired, set another 2-minute cycle at 100°C, Speed 1. Otherwise proceed to serving.
2 min💡 Most ramen packages cook in 3–4 minutes total. Check texture by tasting.
4

Pour the hot ramen and broth into bowls and serve immediately.

GastroLab:Hold knob for 3 seconds to stop. Install stirring attachment if still inside. Carefully pour into bowls using a ladle or slotted spoon.
💡 Serve hot. Add any toppings you have on hand (leftover vegetables, soy sauce, sesame oil).
Chef's note: This is a minimal ramen recipe using only what you have. If you have garlic, ginger, soy sauce, or chili paste, add them to the broth in step 2 for deeper flavor. Leftover cooked vegetables can be added as toppings.
